{"id":712,"date":"2017-08-07T11:07:21","date_gmt":"2017-08-07T11:07:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nhslref.scot.nhs.uk\/?p=712"},"modified":"2017-08-07T11:07:21","modified_gmt":"2017-08-07T11:07:21","slug":"rapid-access-chest-pain","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nhslref.scot.nhs.uk\/?p=712","title":{"rendered":"Rapid Access Chest Pain"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>This protocol should only be used where the following conditions apply<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The patient has experienced recent onset of suspected stable angina.<\/li>\n<li>The patient is experiencing deterioration of stable angina.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">****** This protocol should not be used where the following conditions apply ******<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Patients suspected of having unstable angina (frequent and recurrent chest pain at rest or on minimal exertion, lasting 15 &#8211; 20 minutes) or acute MI (these patients should be referred to the on call team for admission)<\/li>\n<li>Patients who are attending a Cardiology Clinic (these patients should be referred to the Cardiology Consultant for an urgent appointment)<\/li>\n<li>Patients with decompensated heart failure (these should be referred to the Cardiology Clinic)<\/li>\n<li>Patients with known or suspected valvular disease (these should be referred to the Cardiology Clinic)<\/li>\n<li>Patients with new, uncontrolled or symptomatic arrhythmia (these should be referred to the Cardiology Clinic)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This protocol should only be used where the following conditions apply The patient has experienced recent onset of suspected stable angina.
